Phil Mickelson who hasn't played in a dog's age will make his 2007 debut at next week's Bob Hope Classic. He's won it both in 2002 and 2004

Other golfers who confirmed their entries for the event next week include Fred Couples, the 1998 Bob Hope winner and 2000 Bob Hope champion Jesper Parnevik.

Parnevik set a course record last year with a fourth-round 62.

Ben Curtis, and Robert Allenby are two others who have committed.
So too have Scott Verplank, JL Lewis and Bob Tway.

Defending champion Chad Campbell will of course be there and past winners Justin Leonard, Mike Weir, Joe Durant, Kenny Perry and two-time Classic winner John Cook.

Other top names in the field include England's Justin Rose and Ian Poulter, Sweden's Carl Pettersson and Americans Lucas Glover and Ben Crane.
