Great news reported last week about Ottawa's Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club landing the 2008 CN Canadian Women's Open incidentally it will also be the club's 100th anniversary.

This marks the third time a Canadian Women's Open will be staged in the capital. The Ottawa Hunt Golf Club played host to the event in 1994 and in 2000 it was held at the Royal Ottawa Golf Club.

The course was designed in 1919 by Willie Park Jr., the 1902 British Open Champion. Acclaimed Canadian architect Tom McBroom was behind further course enhancements in 1990 and 1991.

Will see you there next year!
