With Ben Curtis being sponsored by the NFL you knew you might eventually see a pro golfer sponsored by a professional hockey team right. Well the time has come as the NHL's Phoenix Coyotes will sponsor pro golfer Jeff Quinney. You know obviously Wayne Gretzky the coach of Phoenix, a big golf fan in his own right had something to do with this signing. The one-year sponsorship deal with Quinney will start this week at the FBR Open in Scottsdale, Ariz. Quinney will wear the Coyotes logo on his shirt during tournaments. This will be interesting to see and a little marketing on the Coyotes part.

"The Coyotes are proud to sponsor Jeff Quinney," team COO Douglas Moss said in a statement Tuesday. "He has proven to be a fierce competitor and one of the most talented young players on the PGA Tour.

"The qualities he displays both on and off the golf course, as well as his connection to the Phoenix area, make him the ideal golfer to represent our organization."
