Darren Clarke Sinks Putt To Win BMW Asian Open

It was great to see Darren Clarke one of my favorite golfers win again a he won this past Sunday for the first time in 5 years. He clinched the BMW Asian Open with a dramatic birdie on the last after stumbling in with a few bogeys on the closing holes.

That victory lifted the Ulsterman over 100 places to 112th in the world rankings and prompted him to set his sights on a place in Nick Faldo's European team for the Ryder Cup later this year.

Clarke played a heroic role in Europe's 2006 triumph over America at the K Club shortly after the death of his wife Heather, but understandably he has struggled in tournament play since but this might just be what Darren needs to get himself back into form.
