Lee Westwood Ends Drought Wins 2009 Portugal Masters
It's hard to believe Lee Westwood hasn't won in over two years. He's been pretty consistent with lots of top 10 but just couldn't finish off a lot of tournaments. Well the two-year drought ends today with a two-shot victory over Francesco Molinari at the Portugal Masters.
The Englishman shot a 6-under 66 to finish at 23-under 265 at the Oceanico Victoria and move to the top of the European Tour money list.
Westwood, had a bogey-free round, and nearly pitched in at No. 17 (see video below) before sinking his birdie to gain a two-shot lead as his Italian rival bogeyed the par-3 16th.
