Freddie Couples Good Fit For Masters

Freddie Couples is on fire with three wins in four events on the Champions Tour. He has not posted a score higher than 68 in a total of 12 rounds on the Champions Tour. Watching Sundays record round of 62 at Cap Cana was incredible he's definitely firing on all cylinders. How can he not be a favorite to win the Masters this year. Yes Tiger is all the talk but Freddie has all the momentum. What a great story if Freddie wins another green jacket.

Couples tees it up this week at the Shell Houston Open on the PGA Tour. Can he contend with the young guys in Houston?

Freddie is sponsored by Bridgestone Golf and relied on the new Bridgestone Golf J38 Dual Pocket Cavity irons (3-PW) and the Tour B330 golf ball.

I also like the fact the rest of his bag is a nice mixture of club brands. Obviously they're working. I just picked up a R9 460 on eBay recently so hopefully I'll be able to smash it like Freddie. One can only hope.

Driver: TaylorMade R9 460 (Fujikura Speeder 665), 8.5 degrees
3-wood: Callaway FT-i, 15 degrees
Wedges: Callaway X-Forged (54, 58 degrees)
Putter: TaylorMade Rossa Imola 6

Here's a video from the 2009 Canadian Open of Freddie at the practice range getting ready for the Mike Weir Charity Classic. Hopefully Freddie comes North of the border again this year and plays the Montreal Championship at the Fontainebleau Golf Club outside of Montreal as well as the Canadian Open at St. George's. He's schedule for some Skins action this year in Victoria, BC at the 2010 TELUS World Skins Game.  So Couples does put some effort in being here in Canada.
