Just found out today that Pearl Jam will embark on a 15-date tour of Canada this fall, including my hometown of Ottawa on September 16th. The last time I saw PJ in Ottawa wasn't even in Ottawa it was at the Robert Guertin arena in Hull. It will be wicked to hear the new tunes for the first time from there forthcoming as-yet-untitled new studio album that will hopefully be out soon. The trek will begin Sept. 2 in Vancouver and wrap Sept. 24 in St. John's, Newfoundland. Good on you Pearl Jam.
Darren Clarke really choked last week at the MCI Heritage. Will this steer me away from picking him this week...not a chance. VJ has to be a heavy favorite at Houston this week where he won last year. He'll be rested and ready to go. Big hitters will probably prevail at the 7508 yds. Redstone Golf Club this week. We'll see.
Well it's been almost a week since my last post what's going on. Got caught up being sorry for myself I think. It's a good thing my wife n' kids keep me grounded. Let's get back to golf...after starting off the season April 11th at Manderley with a buddy from work, things were looking good except when I busted a ligament in my finger playing basketball that same week. After taking this week off next weeks tee time is just being finalized as I type. Lets head out there lads.

Darren Clarke at Harbour Town Golf Links, he shot -6 today.
Very exciting finish to the Masters with Tiger winning on the first extra hole of sudden death. You had to feel a little sorry for Chris Dimarco but he played great on Sunday and almost pulled it off. I'm sure a major is in the cards for Chris it's only a matter of time. He vaulted up the world rankings from 15th to 7th. This weeks stop is at Harbour Town Golf Links, Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. Should be a great venue, great week.
Mike Weir - eat peanut butter sandwiches in the Champions locker room
Charles Howell III and Luke Donald- watch arm wrestling on tv.
Darren Clarke - nap.
Ben Crenshaw- read
Stephen Ames - buy souvenirs at the pro shop
Nick O'Hern - work out at the PGA tour van and read the newspaper.

The Masters is finally here, yesterday was a bit of a crazy day with a 5 hour rain delay and only a handful of players finishing there rounds with some pretty high scores. Chris Dimarco was impressive at -4 although he still had a few holes remaining in his first round this morning. Everyone should be done within the next few hours and round 2 is suppose to begin at 10:20am EST. Today. We'll see what today brings.

Well it's April now and it's Masters Week. Mickelson is defending champ and after winning again this past week, the rain shortened BellSouth Classic in a crazy 5 man playoff. I'd have to say he's a favorite. Even when his drives are off he seems to scramble for par or better. It would be nice to see Ernie get his first green jacket and I also think Darren Clarke is due. My real dark horse is Jesper Parnevik who forgot his clubs back in Florida and didn't realize until he arrived at Augusta on the weekend. Luckily he called Tiger his good buddy and neighbor who swung around his place and picked up his clubs from his garage. Jesper had his clubs by Monday. Wouldn't that be an even crazier story if he wins it on Sunday. We'll see.
