RCGA Signs TaylorMade adidas Golf as Official Golf Equipment and Apparel Supplier

Yesterday it was announced that TaylorMade adidas Golf (TMAG) had signed a 3 year deal with the RCGA here in Canada to supply volunteers at the Mens and Ladies Canadian Opens. Considering I'm volunteering this year at the 2008 Canadian Open at Glen Abbey I was excited as I know TM/Adidas Golf makes some nice stuff. Here's what the press release looks like:

CARLSBAD, Calif. (March 5, 2008)TaylorMade adidas Golf (TMAG) and the Royal Canadian Golf Association (RCGA) are pleased to announce a new three-year agreement in which TMAG will become the official golf equipment and apparel partner of the RCGA. The agreement builds on an existing partnership between TMAG and RCGA that has the equipment and apparel company as both an Equipment Sponsor and the Official Apparel Sponsor of the RCGA National Amateur Team Program.

"It's an honor to be the official equipment ,apparel and footwear supplier to the Royal Canadian Golf Association," said Dave Bradley, TaylorMade adidas Golf's general manager for Canada. "They can choose from a wide variety brands, which makes us exceptionally proud that they chose TaylorMade adidas Golf."

As part of the new agreement, TaylorMade adidas Golf will be the Exclusive Supplier of volunteer uniforms for both the RBC Canadian Open and CN Canadian Women’s Open. TMAG will also supply golf equipment, golf balls and footwear for Pro-Am gifting at both of Canada’s national Open championships. The agreement will also have TMAG as the Official Headwear Supplier for the RCGA’s amateur championships; the supplier of range balls and preferred supplier of apparel at the RCGA Four Seasons training Facility in Calgary; and the Exclusive Supplier of all RCGA staff and governor uniform apparel.

The RCGA will also support the relationship through directing new business to TMAG including corporate sales partnerships and on-site merchandise opportunities at the respective men’s and women’s professional championships over the duration of the agreement.

"We are delighted to have TaylorMade adidas Golf as the official golf equipment and apparel supplier of the RCGA," said Craig Sharp, RCGA Managing Director of Sales, Marketing and Communications.
