The 20th Hole Golf Record Book Review

The 20th Hole Golf Record Book by Matt Gullo -Reviewed by Ottawa Golf Blog

A few months back Matt Gullo was nice enough to send me two of his books that he's made. Here's my thoughts on his book entitled The 20th Hole Golf Record Book.

This black hardcover book from Matt Gullo for me is geared towards the person who wants to compile all their individual records and info on their golf game. A person who wants to archive the information to be viewed at a later date either by them-self or by others. I could really see this being a coffee table book in a "Guys room". Here are a few of the things you can keep track of: scoring records, greatest shots, best courses played, locations played, tournament play, match play/bets/games, stories, accomplishments, memories, and Hall of Fame. Matt really covers the areas most people would want to keep track of, I can't think of anything else. Can you think of anything that you might want included?

At the beginning of the book it explains what each record is and at the beginning of each section there's a picture as well. The book is laid out well with simple headings, very easy to figure out where the information goes. There's also plenty of room to fill out any details of your records.

All in all the The 20th Hole Golf Record Book is a great book for those intrigued with tracking their Golf Records. The book is laid out plain and simple. The only real negative I have is the interior seem like not great quality paper, seems very thin/cheap. This book can be purchased for $24.95 from Matt's site. A must for those golfers who have everything and are golf stats obsessed. Might be a good last minute Christmas gift for those golf folk on your list.

About the author -Matt Gullo

My name is Matt Gullo and I’m a United States Golf Teachers Federation (USGTF) certified teaching professional. I’ve been playing golf for over 20 years and have been teaching since 2004 at the Every Body Golf School in Northern Virginia. I’ve been fortunate enough to have learned from several excellent PGA, LPGA, and USGTF teaching professionals who have a wealth of teaching knowledge and experience.

I played four years of High School golf and in the past have worked in the golf industry as a golf assistant, caddy, and design consultant for a backyard putting green company.

Throughout my golf career, I always tracked my own stats, notes from lessons, new techniques and shots, goals, and records in various notebooks. I decided to design products that would allow golfers to keep all this information in one book to be organized and utilized for progression and improvement.
