Cabot Links Opens Can't Wait To Play
Cabot Links will officially open tomorrow, June 29th. As my trip to Cape Breton slowly approaches I'm dizzy with anticipation of my round at the Rod Whitman designed course. My tee time on July 5th is at 8:00am. Score will not matter the whole experience will. It will be an honor to play Canada's only authentic links course especially one of the lucky few in the first week of it opening. Make sure you follow along here on my blog and on my Twitter feed for all of my shenanigans.

ECCO Biom Golf Hybrid Shoe Review
I've always been a bit hesitant when it comes to spikeless golf shoes as I worry about traction during the golf swing. Last year I got to try ECCO's Street model and came away very impressed.
For the last few weeks I've had the opportunity to put the newECCO Biom Golf Hybrid Shoes through there paces on the golf course, on the practice area and on the job. Here's my take:
The first thing I found with the Biom Hybrid was that it had more enhanced support then the ECCO Street golf shoes I reviewed last season. This I felt was due largely to the insole unit within the shoe. The uppers made of extreme high performance and breathable Yak leather definitely makes this shoe more comfy and stable as well.
As far as traction goes I golfed in wet early morning conditions as well as drier conditions with no slippage. I've even used them to deliver mail a few times and they remained comfy for the full 8-10 hours of my mail route. ECCO has definitely put some though into the outsoles of these shoes. With it's more than 800 traction angles these really do grip.
The ECCO Biom Golf Hybrid comes in 3 colors as well as a limited edition color. The pair I reviewed was the black/brick model and at first I wasn't overly thrilled with the color but it eventually won me over.
The ECCO Biom Golf Hybrid shoes are one of the highest priced spikeless golf shoes on the market at about $240 in Canada so these are not cheap but if your looking for a golf shoe you can wear on and off the course with great looks and comfort like no other spikeless golf shoe. U.S. Open Elimination Golf Pool
Our friends at Go For The Green Golf Pools are having another U.S. Open Elimination Pool. Great bunch of people to battle against for Fantasy Golf supremacy.
This year's event is being played June 14th - 17th at Olympic Club, San Francisco, California.
Here's the scoop on the golf pool:
In this pool the top 60 ranked players from the tournament field will be divided into 4 performance groups of 15 based on World Tour Rankings. You select 4 players (1 from each performance group) and all 4 players must make the cut to avoid elimination. Low score wins.
The field will be posted on Monday, June 11th once finalized by the PGA.
The entry fee for this pool is $20 Canadian. All the pool details are at:
