New York North Country Beckons For At Par Golf Packages

With so many amazing golf courses in the Ottawa area it's hard sometimes to look outside the box but last year I did it by finally playing a few of the spectacular golf courses in the Mont Tremblant area. Now New York in particular the North Country has peaked my interest. Offering Canadian packages at par, Malone, Saranac Inn, Tupper Lake, and Highland Greens golf course all look amazing. I've been to these areas before but haven't golfed. Can you say "golf road trip"?

The 5 Biggest Prizes Available to Golfers

As a top professional sportsman, sponsorships and endorsements deals make up a sizeable chunk of earnings but the majority of professional golfers around the world set their sights on winning one of the richest tournaments in the sport. There are few places you can earn as much money as a professional golfer than the European and PGA tours, even with Paddy Power golf betting. Whilst there is an emerging golf scene in the Middle East the US and Europe still hold the biggest prizes. Some of the figures listed below are mind boggling so the following golf tournaments are certainly worth aspiring to win (with the biggest prize a massive 8 figures!)

The Players Championship (sometimes known as the PLAYERS Championship) is an annual tournament that forms a part of the PGA Tour. Aussie Jason day pocketed the nearly $2 million in 2016.

With a massive jump up to $10 million, enter the FedEx Cup. To stand a chance of winning this super prestigious event you must meet the super stringent entry requirements for the FedEx Cup Playoffs, which include being one of the top 125 point leaders across the PGA season. Those 125 players go head to head and the final 30 go through to the last round. The final round is contested after their point’s totals have been reset to pre-determined amounts to give everyone a chance of winning, but the higher chance to the more-deserving players. How To Win 2018 Masters Tickets?

Well if your like me and have been applying for Masters tickets since they went to the online method in 2012 and have come up empty. We're in the majority of individuals who try for tickets. In 2012 they began selling a small number of practice and tournament round tickets through a random drawing following online registration. If you happen to win, you are granted the right to purchase practice or tournament round packages at face value.

The Masters Ticket Lottery* is by far the cheapest method of acquiring Masters tickets, but is very unlikely. Large numbers of people request tickets each year, making it highly unlikely to be selected in the lottery

.

Plus Augusta does not release the number of tickets allocated to the online method nor the likelihood of being selected in the lottery.

So why do I bother because I have hope and 2018 is my 50th birthday. So I think the stars will align either that or there's other methods to acquire tickets.

Off-Site Ticket Website- Like Stubhub Will Be Expensive Plus Check Out There Guarantee Policy.
Ticket Package Companies- Safe Option But Can Be Pricey.
Ticket Scalpers In Augusta- Make Sure You're 1500 Ft. Away From Augusta When Purchasing.
EBay- Allows A Few Check Out Guarantee Policy As Well.

The Top 3 Favorites to Win the US Open?

Now that the dust has settled on Sergio Garcia’s sudden-death victory at the Masters and completion of the year’s first major, we can now focus on the next major, the U.S. Open. The first round of the 117thU.S. Open begins on June 15th at Erin Hills, a golf course that’s never hosted a major championship before. So not only will the course be under “major” scrutiny but it will also mark the first U.S. Open ever to be played in Wisconsin, although Wisconsin has hosted 4 other major championships.

If you look at who’s won the U.S. Open over the last few years, you’ve got a pretty great list of golfers;the likes of World #1 Dustin Johnson last year at Oakmont to Rory McIlroy in 2011 at Congressional.

Most of the time U.S. Open courses will play long and narrow but Erin Hills, which hosted the 2011 U.S. Amateur, is expected to play between 7,600-7,700 yards, but with more wide and fast running fairways. The course will play as a par-72 and conditions are usually dry in June in that area of Wisconsin. Hence, we may see some lower scoring than usual at this year’s U.S. Open.

While Sergio Garcia ended his 0-for-73 in majors at Augusta National just a few weeks ago, we now ask who the favourites are to contend at Erin Hills. Will they also be a first-time major winner, like Sergio?

At the moment if you look at CrownBet’s US Open Futures, you’ll see Dustin Johnson, Rory McIlroy and Jordan Speith at the top. These three could definitely all win, but here are my outside the box picks for the 2017 US Open.

Rickie Fowler Not a great record at the U.S. Open, with 4 of 8 cuts made with two top tens, but I like Rickie’s overall game when it comes to “majors” especially at Erin Hills as it probably won’t play like typical “US Open” courses. He’s long currently 24th in driving distance plus his GIR is 41st plus he makes a lot of birdies (5th in birdie average).

Matt Kuchar Coming off his best finish in a major(T3) Kuchar is poised for that first major victory. Watching him at Augusta this year I can definitely see him winning a major and other than a green jacket the US Open could be his next best shot. Having made the cut in the last 7 US Open with a best finish of T6 and worse T46. Why not Kuchar?

Jon Rahm The young 22-year-old Spaniard could join Sergio as the next major winner. I love watching this guy play week to week. He’s a top 10 machine (5 this year). While his only experience at a US Open is a T23 at Oakmont last year his game tee to green might just put him in the winner’s circle at Erin Hills.

Who’s your pick?
