Dallas native Scott Verplank shot a final-round 66 to win the EDS Byron Nelson Championship. It was the first event played without Byron Nelson who died this past year and was only fitting it was won by Verplank a close friend. It was close battle between Verplank and third-round leader Luke Donald, who shot a 68 but double bogeyed the ninth hole and missed a 10-foot birdie putt on 18 that would have forced a playoff. Jerry Kelly, Rory Sabbatini, Phil Mickelson, and Ian Poulter tied for third, three strokes back. Check out the sweet ride Verplank won, made by Orange County Choppers:
