DeLaet or Derek Gillespie winning the Canadian Open would be unbelievable and life changing no less. Well the first round is well underway today and there’s some pretty good scoring going on at Angus Glen. Among the Canadians who are finished for the day, Mike Weir had an up and down round and finished at even par. Brad
Fritsch who got in because Jon Mills withdrew made the most of his opportunity with 2 birdies and 2 bogeys for an even par round also.

Hearn has the most impressive round so far by a Canadian shooting a –6 with only one bogey and a whole
lotta of birdies(7).
Hunter
Mahan from the U.S. is the clubhouse leader at –9 with an impressive 3 eagles for his round, 2 on par 4s. We’ll see what transpires the rest of the day……
