McIlroy Makes Professional Debut

For those that don't know who Rory McIlroy is you will find out soon enough as he make his professional debut at the The Quinn Direct British Masters at the Belfry this week. Rory was tied for third after an opening 68 at this years British Open and won medalist honours as the low amateur(in fact the only amateur to make cut). He's the raining Irish Amateur and European Amateur champion too to boot. He's teamed up with manager Andrew "Chubby" Chandler which is no surprise considering Chubby looks after the likes of fellow Irishmen Darren Clarke, Paul McGinley and Graeme McDowell as well as Ernie Els and David Howell. I bet he'll be a but nervous when he tees of with his playing partner, 1999 Open champion Paul Lawrie.
