Beginning Of The Silly Season

The silly season of golf got into full swing in Bermuda on Tuesday where the 4 Major winners(minus Tiger inset Jim Furyk) duke it out over two days. They play off against each other in a two round made-for-television spectacle they call the "PGA Grand Slam of Golf". I use spectacle loosely here, the Major winners this year were Zach Johnson (The Masters), Angel Cabrera (US Open), Padraig Harrington (British Open) and Tiger Woods (PGA Championship). Furyk got in when Tiger was too burnt to play, insert Furyk.
I watched a bit today and they were playing on a pretty tough course but it just wasn't that exciting. Cabrera sure does it it a long way though.
Who won?

Angel Cabrera won it all today, as he forced a play-off with Irishman Harrington after an 18th-hole eagle, both golfers finishing on 136.

The 38-year-old Argentine then birdied the third extra hole to take the title and the US$1.35 million that goes with it.

Jim Furyk was third on 138 after a closing 67 while countryman Zach Johnson fired a 69 to finish fourth on 139.
