Mini-Walrus Goes Birdie Crazy In Shanghai

Watching some of the coverage of the HSBC Champions tournament on the Golf Channel you have to be impressed with Kevin Stadler. He goes and shoots 8 under par 4 for a share of the lead with Sweden's Niclas Fasth this after just securing his PGA Tour card 4 days earlier in Florida.
Fasth and Stadler are three shots ahead of Vijay Singh at Sheshan Golf Club, and four clear of a large group of players clumped together on 68, which included American Phil Mickelson, British Open champion Padraig Harrington of Ireland and Englishman Paul Casey. Pretty good company at the top of the lederboard for sure, it will be interesting to see how Stadler does in his second round. Jet lag and the time different has got to come into play for most of these guy especially those playing there first week in Asia.
