Darren Clarke Parts Ways With Billy Foster

When watching the Alfred Dunhill Championship on the Golf Channel the last couple of days I noticed Darren Clarke was back in action on the European Tour(wicked) but his normal caddie, Billy Foster wasn't on his bag. So I checked out Darren's website and I guess he's parted ways with Billy Foster as his caddie. Billy will be caddying for Sergio Garcia. Darren will be using Malcolm Mason, the ex-caddie to Sam Torrence, on a two week trial in South Africa.
From Darren:

I'm not surprised Sergio wanted Billy on his bag. I’ve worked with him on and off for more than 10 years and throughout our relationship he has been loyal and professional. Billy is a true talent - one of the top caddies in the world, which was proved when Tiger Woods asked him to stand in for Steve Williams at the President’s Cup in 2005.

We have parted on the very best of terms and will remain friends. I’m sure he’ll do well in his new part-time role and I wish him the best of luck.

So moving on, I’m looking forward to my next tournament at Leopard Creek Golf Club. I’ve put in a lot of practice over the last few weeks and I’m feeling confident of showing an improvement.

Darren is tied for 12th after rounds of 73 and 69 only 6 shots off the pace set by Omar Sandys at the Alfred Dunhill Championship. Golf will be better when Darren returns to form.
