Graham DeLaet Headed To The PGA Tour

Canadian Graham DeLaet future looks bright after securing his card for the 2010 season with a final round 73 at the final stage of Q-School. He finished in a tie for 8th with rounds of 70,71,64,69,70, and 73. If you saw his final hole which he birdied you can tell he was pumped with a Tigeresque fist pump.

"I hit the ball very solid all week and I was able to limit my mistakes", said DeLaet. "Playing six rounds of golf is draining mentally and you need to remain focused until that final putt drops. I’m excited and look forward to playing on the PGA Tour."

2009 was a great year for DeLaet:
  • Won twice on the Canadian Tour (ATB Financial Classic, Players Cup) on his way to finishing first on the tour's Order of Merit.
  • Won in South Africa on the Sunshine Tour (BMG Classic) and currently is 8th on the Sunshine Tour Order of Merit.
  • DeLaet along with Stuart Anderson represented Canada at the Omega Mission Hills World Cup in China.

DeLaet brings the total of full-time Canadian golfers on the PGA Tour to four including: Stephen Ames, Chris Baryla and Mike Weir. DeLaet will have to start checking out some honolulu hotels for the start of the upcoming season as well as some on the West Coast, congrats.
