Today was a crazy day preparing for our family’s 14+ day Summer Adventure to beautiful Prince Edward Island. It’s been many years since I’ve visited the shores of PEI but I have fond memories of my last visit some 30+ years ago. Digging for clams was the way my uncle keep my cousin and I busy but we were 12 and usually looking for trouble. I also remember eating well and seeing a lot of amazing things.
Who knows what this family adventure will bring (I’m sure some clam digging for my 3 kids) but I know my golf clubs are packed and I’m looking forward to some PEI golf. I was lucky enough to ask Barry McLeod the COO of PEI Golf some questions before my trip about golfing in PEI.
1)For a person who has never golfed in PEI before what are the three most important things to expect from golfing in PEI?
2)What would be one PEI golf course you would consider a hidden gem and why?
3)What’s your favorite course and why?
4)What’s the best after round beverage after a day of golf in PEI?
5)What’s the best after round local snack after a day of golf in PEI?
6)If you were to describe PEI Golf in one word what would that word be?

Loved PEI on Big Break. Looked like a great spot to stop.
Avondale is a great golf course. Definitely a hidden gem.
