Steve Jobs Impact On Me As A Golf Blogger

I don't really remember what life was like before I became acquainted with Steve Jobs and his wonderful gadgets. Becoming a member of the Cult of Mac seemed like an easy fit for a tech savvy geek like myself. Apple products have only enhanced my life as golf blogger. Jobs wonderful gadgets are a no-brainer for golfers. It's all about the apps and the camera when it comes to golf and Apple.

After running Ottawa Golf Blog for many years it seemed like a natural fit to start a blog about reviewing golf apps and so iPhone Golfer Apps was formed. From apps that help you with your putting and keeping score to apps that help you with the mental side of the game as well as with your swing. An iPhone is a great on the go training aid for any level of golfer. I continue to be amazed at the golf apps that continue to be developed. A golfer who is without a iPhone/iPod/iPad is certainly missing out on enhancing their skills and knowledge of the game.

The camera in a iPod or iPhone is an amazing tool that continually elevates my blogging potential. Taking pictures on the course is so easy with my iPod and the amount of apps that I can use to apply filters and enhance my golf course pictures is astounding. Uploading them to Instagram and Twitter to share with other golfers is a great way to connect and network with other like minded golfers.

Thank you Mr. Jobs you were one happening dude who touched many lives sent from my iPod.

One of my favorite quotes from Steve Jobs from Steve Jobs' 2005 Stanford Commencement Address:

Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.
