Golf Apparel Review: Mens Galvin Green Macoy Golf Shirt

The feeling I got when I first tried on the Macoy Golf Shirt from Galvin Green was like the feeling you get when you try on your favourite pair of shoes. Comfort and you feel like you can do anything with them on. This was the way I felt even though I'd never tried anything on from Galvin Green before but knew of the Swedish company's expertise when it came to high performance golfing clothing especially their rain gear.

I was definitely intrigued because I loved the style and colour (White/Electric Red) of the Macoy Golf Shirt. The Macoy shirt is part of Galvin Green's new VENTIL8 line, new for the 2016 season.

Fabricated from VENTIL8, a very light, soft and comfortable garment, its unparalleled breathability and moisture transportation properties will keep you cool and dry. Galvin Green branding to the left sleeve and back neck. Permanent anti-bacterial technology prevents bad odours and keeps the garment fresh. 100% Polyester

The design of the Macoy Ventil8 Golf Shirt is perfect for the active golfer. A regular fit golf shirt, top marks for Galvin Green for the White/ Electric Red combination. With the light grey and black accents, this colour is great for those of us that light to stray away from those one colour golf shirts.

I've wore the shirt both on and off the golf course for the past month and it has really held up nice in Ottawa's Summer heat. There's enough room to swing freely and will keep you cool for many rounds. I wore it this past weekend at the RBC Canadian Open for the final round a) because it's a great red shirt to support the Canadians in the final round - Go Jared du Toit b) kept me cool for the almost 8 hours I was there at Glen Abbey Golf Club.

The Galvin Green Macoy Golf Shirt retails for $110.95 at Function 18. Which is on the high end of the scale for this type of high performance golf shirt but in my eyes is well worth it. When I'm packing for my east coast vacation in two days this will be one of the golf shirts I bring with me to PEI and Nova Scotia.
