Bad Lies by Tony Jacklin & Shelby Yastrow - Book Review

It’s not often that I get a chance to actually read a novel. Busy with life’s various paths, most of my reading post kids seems to be golf articles on my iPad. I was lucky enough to get my hands on “Bad Lies”, a fictional court room drama based on libel, slander and professional golf.

Jack Nicklaus - World Golf Hall of Famer, 18-time Majors Champion has endorsed it by saying,

“A courtroom, like the game of golf, exposes the truth about people. A fascinating page-turner.”
JACK NICKLAUS

Written by Tony Jacklin and Shelby Yastrow they seem to be the perfect mix with Jacklin’s Hall of Fame golf knowledge and Shelby’s vast legal knowledge. The book is sure to intrigue both golfers and those that like court room drama novels.

The authors create characters that are both believable and fascinating to follow through the ups and downs of a daily court room trial.

In particular Charlie Mayfield, Eddie Bennison lawyer is superbly written as a lawyer who’s character shines through the mere words on the pages.

Bad Lies was a perfect read on my recent weeks vacation and with Fathers day around the corner, it would be a perfect gift for that Dad that enjoys reading and golf.

At $31.95 CDN "Bad Lies" can be purchased on Amazon.
