So here's my picks for this week's PGA event, the Turning Point Resort Championship in Verona, New York. Even though the FedEx Cup is over and there's not too many high ranked players in this week's field but there are many tour players fighting for that top 125 position as I'm sure most don't want to return to Q-school or have to use any exemptions. So there's alot at stake for many players.
John Rollins- won at this course last year when it was the BC Open. Returning to a place where you've won, good karma.
Robert Allenby- has been playing better as of late even with some caddie issues. Should do well with a weaker field. Hasn't won since 2001.
Stewart Appleby- course fits his style. Weaker field=top 10 for the Apple.
Shigeki Maruyama- has only made 9 of 25 cuts but plays well here. We'll see.
Jesper Parnevik- good scrambler, good birdie conversion %. Just a hunch he'll do well this week if his putter gets hot.
Jason Gore- has a good mix of length and touch around the green. He might get things going this weekend.
Nathan Green- Top 5 in total birdies, 11th in scrambling -Watch for Green to do well.
