Jon Mills Wins In Idaho

You knew it was going to happen soon for Jon Mills with the way he was playing lately and all year for that matter. He has made 18 cuts in 22 events and 13 top 25s. With his win Sunday he goes from #24 on the Nationwide money list to #5, securing his PGA Tour card for next year. The native of Oshawa, Ontario was obviously all smiles after his victory. From watching it on The Golf Channel I guess he had a peak at the leaderboard on #13 and noticed he had a 3 stroke lead, he bogey that hole and then bogeyed #15. There goes his lead but some players would just spiral out of the tournament, not Mills. A beautiful putt for eagle on #16 and a wicked approach on #18 and subsequent short putt for another birdie. He shoots a 64 for the day and a -21 to record his first victory of the year. Nice!
