UBS Hong Kong Open

The first full field event of the European Tour starts this week, the UBS Hong Kong Open, which is co-sanctioned with the Asian Tour, will start on Thursday at the Hong Kong Golf Club’s composite layout at Fanling near the border with China. The defending champion this week is Jose Manuel Lara, who edged out the Philippine golfer Juvic Pagunsan last year. There's quite a field this week including K.J. Choi who finished 59th last week in Shanghai. There's also Daniel Chopra who won on the PGA Tour a few weeks back and Retief Goosen and Stuart Appleby who are looking for a win also.

My pick to do well this week is fellow Canadian Mike Weir who's been playing so well as of late including the win in Scottsdale this Fall season. With his new swing he should be solid this week.
