I had the pleasure finally this week to play the
NationView Golf Course in South Mountain, Ontario although I only got to play 9 holes I came away impressed with the layout and especially the greens. NationView is run by the Durant Family and I had the pleasure to talk to Sheila in the Pro Shop who was great for giving me direction on a few holes (which really helps when you've never played a course before). I'm not going to do a full review until I play the whole 18 but I will tell you if you play there the greens are in great condition and they definitely have nice ridges that are sometimes hard to read. Also playing
#18 a long par 3 from the whites (206 yds.) I did something I've never done before, I played a driver on a par 3. Although I did choke down on it and give it a half swing was real fun to play. Only managed a bogey as I was pin high maybe a foot off the green but couldn't get up and down. I am only a hacker oh! well.
Fun #18 A long par 3
Tricking Green on #16
