It's amazing even with Winter in full swing here in the Ottawa area I'm still able to get my golf fix even if it's not swinging a club. Take for instance I'm out pricing some custom blinds for my kitchen with my wife and I get a email from a guy that's just launched his website. He sells handmade leather golf bags, definitively peaks my interest especially because these are like no other bags I've seen before. A single strap, no stand, two zippers and guaranteed for life. That is it. The leather looks amazing these aren't like your modern golf bags. He's taken the complication out and put an experience in. Please check out Mike's site, the McKennon Golf Bag Company. He's located just outside of Portland, Oregon.

Wow! Where have I seen this exact same bag? Maybe the Mackenzie golf bag company also from Portland, Or. Whom developed this bag in ther early 90's. Are these Nike bags? I see a swoosh on the website.
Interesting. This bag seems like a complete copy-cat bag of The MacKenzie Golf Bag. The above poster is correct, check out
http://www.themackenziegolfbagcompany.com and see for yourself.
Another "coincidence", it seems as though even his logo is a copy-cat of http://www.thewalkinggolfer.com
Wow, indeed.
I am a big fan of the Mackenzie Walker and the owner has always taken care of me. I heard of the Mckennon golf bag company from a freind up in the pacific Northwest and i was excited that there was going to be another high end golf bag manufacturer on the market - everybody love competition, right?? It was currious to see that the Mckennon "players bag" is what appears to be an esxact copy of the original Masckenzie walker - all the way down to the name and the logo. It looks to me like Mckennon is trying to steal market share from Mackenzie - which i am all for - but do it with an original design of your own! I ask, how is the Mckennon Players bag any different then the already proven Mckenzie walkers? Anybody?
I'll stick with the Mackenzie Bag, I've carried it since college when I believe it was the Sully bag, named after a guy by the name of Sullivan that had the original pattern. I know the pattern has passed through some reputable local business people over time and it might not be protected, but for this knock off to claim some sense of orginality when the Mackenzie Bag Company is up front about its origins, says something to me about who I should be buying from.
