On Sunday I wasn't checking NHL scores on my iPhone or even who was winning the Wells Fargo Championship. I was checking the score of the PGA Tour Champions tournament, the Insperity Invitational. Where I was hoping one of my favorite players to follow
Jesper Parnevik would close out the tournament. Jesper didn't disappoint with a closing 5-under 67 for a four stroke victory at the Woodlands Country Club. His first PGA Tour Champions victory and his first victory anywhere since his victory in 2001 at the Honda Classic.
It's funny this past week I just applied for Media credentials to my first PGA Tour Champions event in July. Hopefully Jesper is there so I can have a chat. Jesper's win is good for golf, good for PGA Tour Champions Tour and much needed for a golfer who's battled injuries but continues to impress.
