Kiawah Island Resort More Than Just World Class Golf

One of the things I came away with after my two day vacation at Kiawah Island Resort was if your need a vacation to recharge your batteries. Kiawah Island Resort is the place to visit. On top of the World Class Golf courses I got to play including The Ocean Course. Kiawah Island will pamper you at every turn.

Accommodations

The Sanctuary
Located along the pristine shores of Kiawah Island, South Carolina, this exquisitely designed oceanfront hotel, just 21 miles from downtown Charleston, captures the spirit, history and charm of the beautiful south.

As soon as you walk through the front doors you'll experience a southern seaside mansion like no other. Five star service and hospitality, prepare to be spoiled at the Sanctuary.

The Sanctuary awarded the Forbes Five Star Award

#1 U.S. Resort Hotel by Andrew Harper’s Hideaway Report.

Loved the architecture and style of the Sanctuary

Dining

Jerk Chicken Sandwich

Loggerhead Grill- What better way to enjoy your Jerk Chicken Sandwich then outdoors with an amazing view of the Atlantic Ocean. Outdoor dining by the pool, relax in the sun.

Beaches & Cream - Quick smoothie before my round at The Ocean Course, yummy!

Tomasso at Turtle Point

The first night at the Resort we had an amazing dinner at Tomasso at Turtle Point. Between the caesar salad, charcuterie, mussels, pizza and steak. We were treated to a feast for the eyes and palate.

During the day you can enjoy panoramic views of Jack Nicklaus’ newly renovated Turtle Point Golf Course from the comfort of Tomasso Restaurant.

Chef Derick Wade’s Italian inspired menu is influenced by locally sourced ingredients, featuring homemade pastas, sauces, pizzas, and breads prepared daily. Indulge in a selection from our extensive list of Italian and New World wines, from Pinot Grigios to Barolos, and complete your visit with a glass of our house-made Limoncello. Buon Appetito!

Relaxing Spa

While I didn't partake in the Spa and Salon Services that Kiawah Island Resort offers. My wife had a massage and completely enjoyed the mineral whirlpool, steam room and sauna while she waited me to return from golfing. My wife and I have been to many golf resorts that have spas. I've never seen my wife so relaxed after her day at the Spa at Kiawah Island Resort.

Shopping

My new driver headcover.

Mercedes Benz SL550 Roadster

My wife and I didn't rent a car for our trip to Kiawah Island Resort but were lucky enough to be able to test drive an amazing Mercedes to check out the Island. `
