Ames wins Players Championship

Stephen Ames played beautifully for 4 rounds and wrapped up the Players yesterday. No one really challenged him on Sunday as he won by 6 strokes over Retief Goosen. Most were over par for the day as the greens were hard and fast. Ames still managed to shoot -5 for the day when I'm sure the average was +5 or +6. Now the big question is whether he'll attend the Masters as he'll get an invite because of his win at the Players. In his news conference he was saying he had the next two weeks planned with his family as a vacation, his kids were on spring break. He says he'll talk to his family about his Masters invite and whether to go. His family is #1, you have to respect him for that. I guess we'll see if he'll head to the Masters in 2 weeks. Should be interesting.
