Vacation Golf At Midland Golf & Country Club

Midland Golf & Country Club Mini Review

While on holidays I was fortunate enough to get a chance to play Midland Golf and Country Club. Although it was just the back nine I was happy to check it off my list of must play courses. Established in 1919 and located in the heart of Georgian Bay this course is a must play for any level of golfer. If you get a chance to play this course don’t hesitate. Greens were in great condition and rolled nicely. Fairways were well maintained and tee boxes were quite adequate.

As you can see from my Instagram pictures this is one beautiful course with mature trees lining the fairways of each hole.

My favorite holes on the back nine were #11 the par 3 aptly named Thread The Needle. At 177 from the white tees this is a fun scenic par 3 that club selection will play a big key especially if the wind is in your face.

#15 Big Chief is the first par 5 on the back nine and from the tee doesn’t look to intimidating but beware of any stray shots as you’ll just be chopping it out just to save par.

Very beautiful golf course to practice skills. Must be pricey, eh?
