2013 U.S. Open Scripting: Adidas Style - Dustin Johnson, Jason Day

As a golf fan you always love when another major roles around. This week the Pros who have qualified will be outside Philadelphia at Merion Golf Club to do battle. The course hasn't been used as a US Open venue in 32 years.  Some say the US Open is the hardest major to win as the USGA sets up the courses to play tough and the last man standing wins. Well with all the wet weather that's been hitting the Philadelphia area can the relatively short course at 6,996-yard stand the US Open test again? With it's wealth of history I believe it can.

With another major comes various companies apparel scripting today we look at the scripting by Adidas Golf for Dustin Johnson and Jason Day.

Similar to the Masters and the Players Championship Team Adidas will be wearing the same script again at the US Open. Good thing the likes of Dustin Johnson, Jason Day and Sergio Garcia aren't paired together for the first two rounds this week or maybe that's what Adidas was hoping. An army of red, white, grey and black.

This color scheme is more likely a tribute to the red wicker baskets that adorn the top of the red and white striped flagsticks at host course Merion, rather than any connection to the colors of the US Open.

It will be interesting to see if the players stick to the script unlike Jason Day who had a bit of trouble at the Masters confusing Friday and Saturdays golf clothing. What are your thoughts?

Thursday’s shirt: white/black
Friday’s shirt: chrome/university red
Saturday’s shirt: university red/chrome
Sunday’s shirt: black/university red
