Sante Fe New Mexico is one place I haven't been too that is definitely on my list of places to see I think it's partially due to the fact it's the oldest capital in the U.S. and it's a place with rich culture and history. That and the fact they have some great golf courses in the area, like the Club At LasCampanas. It's a private course but I'd try my best to play it though, call in a few favors maybe.
A great place to look for hotels in the area is the United States Hotel Guides it can make the choices easier if your looking for a place to stay in the area that fits your budget. Type in the dates you want to travel and it will find you some cheaper options in the area to fit most bugdets.
Sante Fe has many things to do and I tell my wife that when we go I won't be golfing the whole time because there's always great shopping in the area at some great traditional Spanish markets. We'll see if it happens in the new year.
