Golfing Caddy Review

If you saw my initial thoughts on the Golfing Caddy you know how much I was wanting this product to be good with me losing on average 2-3 water bottles (not the cheap ones) on the golf course a year. Well after a thorough testing on the golf course and driving range. I have nothing but positive things to say about the Golfing Caddy

I tend to walk the course 95% of the time and you need to rehydrate so I always have a least 2 or 3 water bottles in my bag per round. Having one on an outside pocket on my golf bag would almost every round lead to it falling out or losing it completely.  Along comes the Golfing Caddy and my prayers have been answered. It's just a great beverage holder for the golf course.

Recently I got two new stainless steel water bottles from Costco for my birthday and they're great. They hold lots of water and the best thing is they fit perfectly in the Golfing Caddy. The even better thing is I haven't lost them because of the Golfing Caddy doing it's job, being a great water bottle holder. I just clip it on my Ogio bag and now have the piece of mind that my water isn't going anywhere. The clip that secures the Caddy to the bag is great quality and I've had no problems with it unclipping or breaking. Perfect for my Ogio stand bag but would work just as well for a cart bag.

Another great thing about the Golfing Caddy is that it is more than a beverage holder it's also a multi-compartment tote. Instead of clipping my car keys on my stand bag I now clip them on the Golfing Caddy. A nice sturdy metal clip that I trust to hold my keys.

Another nice touch on the Golfing Caddy is the Microfiber towel (12” x 12”) that's attached to the Caddy. It's my new best friend. I'm a bit of a stickler for a clean club and golf ball and the towel  is great for wiping off dirt. Please note it's light weight so it's not increasing the weight of your bag if you carry.

The price point on the Golfing Caddy is $19.99 USD plus shipping and handling and is very reasonable considering the various uses of the Caddy as well you'll never have to buy another stainless steel water bottle. So your saving money on that as well.

Final Thoughts
If you carry your bag and lose your water bottle often, get a Golfing Caddy. It works great you won't regret the purchase. It also keeps all your other stuff (car keys, tees, divot tool, cell phone) within easy reach as well an added bonus when out on the golf course. Now get out there and play!

2010 Puma Golf Special Edition Collection

I love this time of the year when golf apparel companies come out with their new lines. We get to drool and talk about what we like and complain about what we don't like. Some companies like Puma like to throw a Special Edition Collection at us and I'm fine with that, the more the better.

I remember back in February seeing a preview of this collection on Golf Views a great site for reviews from a hacker like me and being quite impressed. I really liked the color combinations and once again the Puma style. Well it looks like this collection is now availble at select stores and as usual in limited numbers. So be sure to check them out on at Golf Poser Trendy Golfer and  Fairway Styles. This Special Edition is great with colors and styles inspired with Rickie Fowler in mind for sure.

You'll also in Canada be able to get the 2010 Puma Golf Special Edition Collection (Mens styles only) in select Golf Towns.

Kikks On The Way, Ochoa Retires, Flag My Fairway and Slammer Tour

Here's a few things that have come across my desk in the last while:

Pretty excited to do the review of these bad boys. James Lepp from Kikkor Golf just let me know a pair of size 12 Eppik Blaze Kikks are on their way to Ottawa Golf Blog. Stay tuned for the full review. Why not check out Kikkor on Twitter, Facebook and YouTube in the meantime. Some of the YouTube videos are just great.

Wow! World #1 Lorena Ochoa retires not a big surprise because we eventually knew she would with getting married recently and wanting to start a family. It still comes as a shock and a bit of a blow to the LPGA which is struggling in these economic times. GL Lorena!

"Personally, it's more important the things that I do outside the golf course," Ochoa said last year before a tournament she hosts in her hometown of Guadalajara. "And that's been my main focus right now."

On a local front the Slammer Tour is in full swing and already has 18 outdoor events in the books and it's only April 20th. Be sure to check out the next event at the Slammer Tour website right hand corner. You can also see who's leading in the rankings and maybe sign up for the next match play event.

Flag My Fairway has just started out here in the region and it seems to be a great idea to check on the conditions and comment on the conditions of local golf courses. We just need more people entering the conditions of local courses. So after playing a round be sure to head over to Flag My Fairway and enter the conditions.

Trendy Golf sent me an email about exclusively carrying the brand Peak Performance in the US now. I really know nothing of the brand but from looking at their apparel on Trendy's site you can definitely see the European/Scandinavian flare with the design and colors used in there apparel. Might be worth looking into.
Peak Performance promotes active lifestyle that produces technical garments to enable the sportsman to perform at the highest level.

Who Wants To Rock A 59 Belt?

Although my collection of belts for golf is pretty small. A great white Puma belt and stylin' Dormy from Sumi-G. I really love the way belts have become a great accessories to complement your golf apparel and the way pros have taken to the trend of wearing some really cool belts . Take for instance the exposure 59 Belts got for the Masters with Ricky Barnes wearing one of their custom belts. This company is obviously on the way up. Just have a look at their Wall of Buckles or their Online Player Gallery and discover some great designs.

At $300 to $450  for a custom belt from 59 Belts they certainly are on the expensive side but they are custom made using a CNC milling process that is pretty intense and they're actually made in the good ole U.S.A.

At present I know of two ways you can win a custom made belt from 59 Belts the first one is from our friends at Hackers Paradise. This one is pretty easy but check out the prizes just for a little scavenger hunt.

The other was posted by our friend Mike over at Chapeau Noir Golf. He's always hip to trends in the golf apparel world and he picked up on 59 Belts Contest to design Jamie Lovemark's Belt Buckle. I love this one just for the fact you can be really creative. So jump on board become a member at 59 Belts and start your design. I know I'm trying to get the old creative juices flowing which gets harder now that I just turned 42.

British Invasion - Can Poulter or Westwood Win The Masters?

A little bit of British Invasion on Day 2 of the Masters with Ian Poulter and Lee Westwood leading into the weekend at -8. No Brit has one a green jacket since Nick Faldo in 96 can this be the week for one of these guys. Hell ya with my pick being Poulter. He`ll be decked out in yellow and black as tweeted by Poulter not to long ago. Saw a dog in a car on the way to Augusta as well. Love the way Poulter says "Augusta".

Ryan Moore Stands Out At The Masters And That's OK

I didn't realize Ryan Moore was sporting some great golf attire at this weeks Masters. Luckily guys like Mike over at Chapeau Noir Golf keep up with these things and hence an article about Moore evoking images of Bobby Jones with his attire was created. Be sure to check it out.

I have to say I love the look. I like golfers who like to look a bit different not plain and drab. Ryan Moore with today's attire is great, hell a guy who runs a Tie blog was digging it so it must be good right.

Ryan was one of my guys in one of my many golf pools I'm heavily invested in this week. I think I had him in one of my elimination pools as well as a pool where he's got to get the most amount of birdies or least amount of putts.  With a even round today look for him to go low tomorrow. Can't wait to see what he'll wear tomorrow as well.

On a side note I finally order my Scratch wedges. A 53 and 58 degree 8620 wedge from Ryan Moore's sponsor Scratch Golf. Can't wait to get them and test them out. Be sure to stay tuned here for the full review.
Ryan this week is using more of a cavity back iron set (EZ-1s) to get a higher launch with his irons. Check out what's in the bag for Ryan via Ari Techner and GolfWRX.com.

Tiger Woods Opening Tee Shot - Down The Middle

Was there any doubt Tiger Woods tee shot would be down the middle of the first fairway with a patented Tiger swirl at the end. Not a real surprise, I was surprised he fired his best opening round a 68 here at the Masters in his first competitive round after the debacle of his transgressions that came out a few months ago.  We can only imagine what will happen the rest of the week with Tiger Woods.

4 HRs. 20 Mins. Til The Masters

Thanks to our sponsors.

Over the last day or so Masters talk has been pretty rampant on Twitter. Some great folks to follow in no particular order. @Golf_Potato @scratch_golf @shanebacon @JasonSobel @Flagstick

SeeMore Si1 Putter - In Hand Pictures

Last year I had the privilege to play and review a SeeMore putter for the first time. I definitely came away impressed with my experience with the SeeMore FGP Stainless Steel Blade Putter. This year I turn my attention to Seemore's Si1 putter from their new Si Series of putters.

Here's some pictures from this center shafted nickel plated beauty. I just got it this week and hope to hit the course very soon to start my review. Shouldn't be to hard with the great weather we've been getting here in the Ottawa area most courses are already open. Yippee! I now just have to pry the putter away from my little guy who really loves golf putters.
