Golf Shoe Review: ECCO Cage

The golf shoe for all seasons and conditions

I've had the pleasure of testing out the new ECCO Cage golf shoe. Unlike some of ECCO popular spikeless golf shoes the Cage is spiked.

The testing period was extensive and included a week long period where I golfed 90 holes on a buddies golf trip to the Dallas/Fort Worth area. The ECCO Cage stood up to the Texas heat and rain and got top marks for the stability in the Bermuda grass.

I also played golf up in the hills of Mont Tremblant at Le Diable Golf Course. During the round there was a steady rain and the only thing dry on me after the round were my ECCO Cage golf shoes. The waterproof leather exterior along with the one piece cage make for a perfect marriage of comfort and dry feet.

Can't go wrong with the Champ Slim-Lock soft spike system making the ECCO Cage one of the most stable golf shoes on the market.

The one piece platform the Ecco Cage is constructed on is the heartbeat of the golf shoe. Using the Direct-injection process (DiP) that is found across a wide range of Ecco Golf Shoes. This is where the Cage gets its stability. A perfect waterproof seal is formed by this process and with the combination of the Caldera performance leather your feet will be comfortable and dry for many rounds.

The Concrete and Dark Shadow is a great colour combo for the ECCO Cage but also comes in 4 other colours.

A perfect fit out of the box. The look/style of the ECCO Cage might not be for the golf purist but for quality and technology you can't beat the ECCO Cage.

I haven't seen to many ECCO Cage golf shoes at Rideau View Golf Course where I play most of my golf but I think that's partially do to the popularity of ECCO spikeless shoes. Once people get wind of this spiked version with all the same great ECCO technology your going to see a lot more on the course.

At $260 CDN these golf shoes are at the higher price point but if you're looking for a waterproof leather spiked golf shoe look no further than the technology put into the ECCO Cage to help you stabilize your golf swing.
