Ryan Moore Barefoots It In Malaysia

With the formal launch this week of the new TRUE tour footwear from TRUE linkswear. The shoes that Ryan Moore has been wearing since the Crowne Plaza Invitational may be in store for a huge boost this week. Ryan an investor and co-founder of the company could see the exposure of the shoes flourish with a win at the  CIMB Asia Pacific Classic Malaysia.

Callaway Diablo Octane - Another Driver, Definite Intrigue

Got an media invitation a week or so ago from Callaway as they were giving media an exclusive first look at Callaway’s new Diablo Octane Driver. The Ontario PGA Show in Mississauga was the place for the unveiling this week. Now of course I couldn't get away from my full time job as it pays the bills.

But something about a driver made with the strongest material to hit the golf industry kind of intrigues me. A few weeks ago a fellow blogger attended a similar unveiling in Chicago. Again peaks my interest. Now apparently Ernie Els has put this driver in his bag and what does he go and do last week win the Grand Slam of Golf. Tell me that driver is staying in the bag this week.

More intrigue - The Forged Composite material used in the driver, the first commercial product on the market as a result of the Callaway-Lamborghini partnership.

I have contacted Callaway about testing out the new Diablo Octane Driver a little closer to home at one of their Performance Centres in Montreal. Will keep you posted.

Unique Style Shines Through For Iliac Golf

I was first introduced to Iliac Golf when I saw their retro leather head covers donning the clubs of golf pros Bubba Watson and Ryan Moore while perusing one of my favorite golf forums. The old school style, quality and craftsmanship was easily seen in the design. When you see these head covers you had to have one. Perusing their 2011 catalog your wish list might get a bit larger (love the wool driver cap!).

Iliac Golf is all about making something unique for golf purist and judging from their 2011 line there’s something for everyone. From golf shirts and rain wear to belts and golf bags there’s something to please everyone’s golf addiction.

All Club Hos Please Thank Your Clubfitters/Techs

If you're like me and you like to try different clubs throughout the golf season then you've probably used the odd golf club-fitter or technician. I just wanted to take the time to say thanks to these guys that have helped me along with my club hoing and general golf addiction for the past year. My wife thanks you as well. Here's a few I'd like to acknowledge.

Slammer Steve I met through the Ottawa Golf forum. Steve is a very knowledgeable club fitter. He's had years of experience with many Long Drive athletes. He helped me with a few shafts for a R9 460 I was "testing out". I learned a lot about shaft spining and flowing. I also learned some general fitting basics when it comes to getting fit for a driver.

He got the shafts back to me fast so I could take them on Summer vacation to PEI. Steve is always willing to help you out depending what you want done. If you have any questions he's always eager to answer. If your in the Ottawa area look him up to get some work done at 613-820-2639.

All the guys at Golf Town in Kanata again this year helped me out immensely. They were very knowledgeable and always fast when I needed a grip on a putter or a wedge that I was reviewing. Fall Colors Make For Breathtaking Golf

Nothing like golfing in the Ottawa area during the fall. With the leaves changing many of the back drops on approach shots are breath taking. I always make sure I take along my camera to take a few photos and a few extra balls as well. Here 's few from Manderley on the Green yesterday.

Dude Where's My Ryder Cup T-Shirt

The buzz of the Ryder Cup is still in the air even after almost a week. People are still talking about Tiger Wood's eagle on #12 and  Rickie Fowler's brilliant comeback versus Francesco Molinari and that's from the losing side.

Who can forgot the amazing putt by Graeme McDowell on #16 to go 2 up on Hunter Mahan and the subsequent gaffe of a shot by Hunter on the next hole for the point that Team Europe needed to win back the Cup. Tiger Woods Amazing Eagle At 2010 Ryder Cup

Has the old Tiger Woods returned? By all accounts he just completed his best Ryder Cup ever. Yes he was helped out in Fourball and Foursomes by being paired with Team USA's best player, Steve Stricker. Yet during individual single match play Tiger seemed to shine. The clutch putts, a beautiful eagle, club twirls and even a smile. Has Tiger Woods returned and what does the future hold?

Graeme McDowell Amazing Putt Leads Team Europe To Ryder Cup

So many great shots over the 4 days of golf in Wales at the Ryder Cup. The one shot that stands out for me is the approach shot on #16 and subsequent putt by Graeme McDowell. Amazing!

Rickie Fowler Impresses In Ryder Cup Debut - Video Highlights

I'm a big fan of Rickie Fowler. More so after the events of the 2010 Ryder Cup.

His resilience during his foursome session with Jim Furyk. He bounces back from a costly penalty (Rule 15-2) where he substitutes a ball and plays it rather than his partner. Many would of folded from such a rookie blunder. Not Rickie or Furyk who battled out a half point in the match.

Now comes Monday's single matches. Down 4 to Edoardo Molinari on #12 in their match. He comes back incredibly with 4 birdies including the final hole with an amazing putt giving Team USA some final hope.

His never give up attitude, clutch putts and youthful exuberance will be a force for future USA teams.
