Aaron Baddeley's Stack And Tilt Swing

Aaron Baddeley is the defending champion this week at the FBR Open, he should do well as he's been playing well as of late with a T12, T13 and a MC. His stack and tilt swing seems to be working along with Mike Weir who also uses this type of swing. Check out this video of his swing from the 2008 Buick Invitational.

Protect Your Ipod With InvisibleShield

My sister and I were talking the other day about portable digital audio players. She was saying she just couldn't live without hers as she uses it daily on her commute to work. She had always been one to have an audio player but it's only been the last couple of years where she's updated to an iPod. She loves the fact you can customize it with so many different accessories. Her latest thing she wants me to get is a really cool protective case. Now this isn't any ordinary case, it's made by InvisibleShield and it's so thin you can barely see it, but it's very tough and scratch proof to boot. So now I might have to try one of InvisibleShield iPod cases it because sometimes my iPod get knocked around while I 'm hitting balls at the range. Check out there video now you'll be amazed.

Tiger Woods Swing Critiqued

The guys from Live @ critique Tiger Woods swing, from this past week's Buick Invitational where he won by a huge margin and had no real challengers all week. You be the judge of the swing.

Ian Poulter Has Some Big Kahunas

I guess we'll have to wait and see when the March issue of Golf World comes out but Ian Poulter the very much extrovert will be literally baring all in the issue including some very brash comments on himself and Tiger. He's quoted as saying the following:

"The trouble is I just don't rate anyone else. Now, don't get me wrong. I really respect everyone who is a professional golfer, but, the problem is, I know I haven't played to my full potential yet. And, when that happens, it will just be me and Tiger."

Oh Ian what are you thinking not only that but he's naked in the article except for a well placed golf ball. He's playing this week in Dubai against Tiger so I wonder if he even makes the cut. Poulter, definitely a character.

Web Polls For Your Blog

I'm always looking for interesting add-ons to my golf blog and other websites. So when I found the Easy Poll website I was intrigued at creating polls and online surveys for my website for free, because webmasters love stuff that good and if it's free even better. Signing up was easy and took less than a minute after receiving a confirmation email I was up and running. The first thing you'll notice about Easy Poll is they don't clutter the "create a poll or survey" page. They make it easy to understand and simple to input your question and the answers. You can customize the look of your poll or survey to go with your blog or website which is a great feature. I ended up creating a web poll in less than 5 minutes, code was easy to install. If your looking to add this kind of interactive element on your site, try Easy Poll you'll like it.

Time For That Dream Holiday

So if your were to take a little vacation where would you go and it could be anywhere in the world. Now let's narrow it down a bit a more and let's say it's your birthday and you want to get away for a little long weekend. Well I know my birthday is coming up and at HotelsByCity.net they gave me some thinking to do, they have a great list of golf destinations I might want to look into. There list is centered around the top 10 golf courses and the cities they are in. A great list of places, from places in Canada to California, it is a great place to start. For all of the cities they list, they give a great list of cheap hotels in the area that can save you money to do other things. Each city has a helpful guide to make decision making easy and you can concentrate on more important things like what other activities you can do in the area. They lay all the possibilities out for you you just have to make a few decisions and away you go, the hard part is deciding the destination. HotelsByCity can really start you off in the right direction if one day you finally get to take that vacation anywhere in the world.

Hazards On The Golf Course

I was thinking of a funny story at work the other day that got me to smile just a wee bit. It was towards the end of the season and I was playing as a single at my home course and I forget what hole but I met up with a lad who was also playing. So we plodded along noting how great the weather was I think that day it was in the 60s. Anyways after a couple of holes we notice this young lad making his way down the last par 5 we played and we notice quite a striking young lady with him. The funny thing is she doesn't seem to have her own clubs she's carrying his. Needless to say we crack a couple of jokes about it but then notice she's also wearing what I would call some pretty sexy boots to a golf course. We joke that hopefully she makes it around without twisting her ankle in a rout or sprinkler grate or whatever. It did make are round though and made for some great stories.

Tiger Woods Winner Of The Buick Invitational Again

Tiger Woods wins the Buick Invitational by a mere 8 strokes over Ryuji Imadi was there any doubt not really it was really a race to see who would be 2nd, 3rd, 4th....
Mickelson managed a T6 not bad but I'm sure he'll be looking to do better this week at the FBR Open.
Check out the video from #3 at Torrey Pines of Tiger Woods from Sunday. Enjoy.

Tiger Woods Day 3 Buick Invitational 2008 #3 Torrey Pines South Course

Timber Run Golf Course And Clubhouse

I recently had the chance to see the Timber Run golf course and clubhouse of course the golf course was covered in snow but I'd heard so many nice things about the clubhouse it was cool to finally see it. The first thing you will notice is it's not a contemporary look, there no contemporary furniture or fixtures anywhere. If your looking for a beautiful rustic look then Timber Run is where yo want to be to hold your weddings, parties and all manner of special events. The woodwork and beautiful fireplace are a lovely accent to the towering log beams overhead. They offer a Sunday brunch from 10am to 2pm weekly. Now i just have to try to get out there and try there 18 hole par 69 golf course that will challenge the most accomplished golfer, yet will reward the more average player.

Robert Allenby Saves Par On #3 At Torrey Pines South Course

Robert Allenby is a good wind player and he's playing well as of late, that's why he's one of my fantasy picks to do well this week at the Buick Invitational. Check out this great video of Allenby getting up and down out of a bunker on the par 3 #3 of the South Course at Torrey Pines.

So is it a Tour Circa #6 you be the judge these are stills from a video, good but not great.

Keep Busy Golf Season Is Almost Here

This is the time of the year you start to get the itch to get out on the golf course and hit your clubs, except it's snowing out and your probably looking at at least two months plus til we can get onto a golf course here in the Ottawa area. Well in the off season we like to look for golf deals especially online ones involving expensive Scotty Cameron putters. I also like to find online coupons where I can save lots of money on last years balls and golf clubs. whatever you do stay active because we will get out there soon, maybe just not soon enough.

TaylorMade Spider Putter Seen At Buick Invitational

There's always some crazy looking putters floating around the PGA Tour and this week's tournament doesn't disappoint. We have the new TaylorMade Spider putter which was seen today at the Buick Invitational. It was being played by Dustin Johnson who ended up shooting an even par round on the harder South Course at Torrey Pines. It's made the Golf Digest's 2008 Hotlist this year so we may see it more out on tour.
In addition to high-MOI features, such as enormous volume, and a variety of alignment guides, the Spider's primary attribute is the "anti skid groove system insert." Made of a lightweight but durable seven-metal alloy, the insert is designed to reduce skid and impart forward roll on the ball as early as possible. This is achieved in part by 14 tiny polymer-filled face grooves.

There's some great pictures of it at GolfWrx.com and check out the picture of Dustin's below and video.

Fantasy Picks For The Buick Invitational

Well this week PGA Tour spot is in what's usually the sunny San Diego area unfortunately it's going to rain all 4 days of the tournament so little sunshine will be seen. The big thing about this week is who will do well other than Tiger as everyone will have Tiger as one of there picks. Most of my picks are based on past success at Torrey Pines, who does well in rainy conditions and who's playing well as of late.

TW- see above and how much will he win by.
Mike Weir- Hasn't played here alot but does well on tough courses and the Pines will be tough this week.
Phil Mickelson-Has 8 top finishes here, will want to make an impression for his first tournament of the year.
Tim Clark- Another player that's a grinder and has 1 top ten herein 3 appearances.
Charles Howell III- I'm not a big fan of CH III but his record here is great plus he's playing pretty good lately.
Robert Allenby- Just a hunch, he plays well in the rain.
Rory Sabbatini- Not a great track record here but has 2 tops in 2 events so far this year.

Cambo Hasn't Done Alot Since US Open Win

Michael Campbell play has certainly been poor since his U.S. Open win back in 2005. He's dropped to #188 in the world rankings but is excited about starting his 15th year on the European Tour this week at the Qatar Masters in Doha, his first competition since missing the cut in last month's Australian Open.

"I've had a good break and now having wiped the 2007 slate clean, I'm anxious to get back into competition and get my 2008 campaign off to a positive start," he said.

"I decided to work pretty hard on my fitness during the Christmas and New Year break so as to better prepare myself for this year."

Campbell had been working with a new personal trainer for the past two months.

"I do feel a lot leaner and fitter, and I've also lost a bit of weight so that's why I'm excited about these two weeks."

"It's been very simple and nothing too technical. I remember adopting a similar sort of approach to my golf four years ago and it was that sort of attitude that helped me win the European Open."

"I'm not worried about my ranking because I know that will improve with a few results," he said.

"All I am focusing on is just playing golf and the basic things in life and hopefully everything else will fall into place."

I will be interesting to see how he comes out of the gate this week as he'll be teeing it up with Martin Kaymer the winner last week and England's Lee Westwood for the opening two rounds.

Defending Champion Goosen Out Of Qatar Masters

Vision problems were to much for Retief Goosen to compete this week and defend the Qatar masters. The South African came to Doha after undergoing corrective laser surgery ten days ago but during practice on Tuesday, his vision in one eye began to blur. He immediately travelled to Dubai for further treatment and was hopeful of playing the event even on Tuesday night. However, he announced his withdrawal Wednesday morning, saying he was still having problems with his vision.

Goosen said: "I am obviously very sad that I am unable to defend my title. I came all this way to play but unfortunately the eye is causing a problem.

"I thought it would come good but it hasn't. I went to Dubai yesterday and the advice was to go back to London for treatment.

"It is a shame as I love this event, love this course and I can't remember the last time I pulled out of a tournament."

The absence of Goosen, twice a winner of the US Open, is a body blow for a tournament that has grown in stature over the last few years and taken its central role in what has become known as the "Desert Swing" which includes the Abu Dhabi Golf Championship and the Dubai Desert Classic.

Qatar Masters This Weeks - Definitely Some Big Names

This week's Qatar Masters is billed as having the strongest field in the tournament's 11-year history and I'd have to agree, I know I'll be tuned in with the likes of Retief Goosen, Adam Scott, Lee Westwood, Henrik Stenson, Luke Donald, Scott Verplank, Paul Casey and Sergio.

Retief Goosen overtook Nick O'Hern with a birdie-eagle finish last year to claim his only win of the season. He finished atop a talented leaderboard that saw 2005 champion Ernie Els, Stuart Appleby, 2006 winner Henrik Stenson, Chris DiMarco, Paul McGinley, Nick Dougherty, Sergio Garcia, Miguel Angel Jimenez and Robert Karlsson all finish in the top 25.

World No. 8 Adam Scott, the 2002 champion, is the highest-ranked player in a field that includes 10 of the top 30 players in the world.

The Golf Channel will have coverage of all four rounds this week beginning at 9:30 a.m. (ET). It will be also online at http://www.myp2p.eu/

D.J. Trahan Final Round Video- Bob Hope Chrysler Classic

Justin Leonard fell apart on the back nine of the Classic Course and D.J. Trahan charged through with a solid round of 65 to win his second PGA Tour victory at the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic this past Sunday. Leonard led by four strokes at the beginning of the final round and couldn't hold onto the lead as he went over par on his final 10 holes including driving his ball into the water on #18. D.J. Trahan key stats for the week where his putting , he took just 130 putts (26 per round) to lead that category and had a 1.585 average on the greens he hit, also leading that one. Check out this video of D.J. Trahan final round.

Nutritional Supplements For Your Golf Game

I am a firm believer in nutritional supplements for achieving your sports related goals. Whether it's trying to get a few more yards out of your drives or having more energy and stamina during those long summer days when you would like to be able to play 36 holes. Sometimes nutritional supplements are great for those achy joints that can be associated with golf. Remember supplements alone won't bring about results you still have to eat properly and exercise, cardio exercise being the best.

AEDs Can Save Lives On The Golf Course

Most of us know of someone who has died of a heart attack. Alot of people myself included have taken many first aid courses and even defibrillator courses as well, these are the ways we can help those who experience Cardiac Arrhythmia.

Another way is to become and remain educated on those things that can effect sudden cardiac arrest. That is one objective that InsideCardiacArrest.com tries to provide everyone. Being aware of Sudden Cardiac Arrest and the causes can help us save lives.

Look at golf courses for instance, it's a place for death by heart failure. Sudden cardiac arrest is the #1 cause of death on the golf course. Because of its size, often remote location and poor accessibility, a golf course can be one of the worst places to be when your heart stops.

That's where automated external defibrillator, or AED come into play. More and more golf courses are using them including The Glen Abby Golf Club in Oakville a course that is used for the Canadian Open.

AEDs are a godsend, not only to golfers, but to everyone. AEDs are now being used by trained people from all walks of life. I know I've taken a course on how to use one because we have one at work. Education you say, I say being smart.

Daly Withdraws From Bob Hope Classic

On alot of golf forums people are laying into JD about some of his off the course doings including a recent lawsuit over hurting himself. The same injury that's prevented hom from finisshing the Bob Hope. If you watched the tird round he really slugged it out with a respectful round of 71 considering the pain he was in he did ok, he had his rib repeatedly worked on by sports physiotherapist Jim Weathers during the round.

"It has been an ongoing thing ever since it happened," Daly, 41, told reporters after posting a four-under total of 212.

"It killed me today. I had a guy here with me and he popped it back in five times."

Daly's rib injury dates back to the Honda Classic last March when he was disturbed on his back swing by a spectator trying to take a photograph.

"A woman took a picture and I came down and separated my shoulder and fractured my rib," the 1995 British Open champion said. "I tried to play through it all last year and had to withdraw from tournaments because it kept popping out.

Check Out Mark Calcavecchia Bad Hole At the Bob Hope Classic

Mark Calcavecchia had a rough hole on #15 on the Classic Course yesterday in the third round of the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic, I thought I was watching coverage of Woody Austin at the President's Cup. No it was Calc having a bad hole that could of been worse after hitting his third shot into the water and then nonchalantly dropping his ball plays a wedge(barefoot) up to about 6 feet and drains it for a bogey. Could of been worse, he even hit his putt barefoot too. You have to love Calc. check out the video.

New Studio Select Putters On Titleist's Site

For those of us waiting to get more info on the Studio Select putters from Titleist/Scotty Cameron begin to salivate because they even have some high-res. photos for you to look at. Here's the story:

The new Studio Select putters are precision milled with circular weights in the heel and toe that allow each model to be offered at 33”, 34” and 35” lengths. With four Newport based models the new line features two different body styles - the Newport and Newport 2 - and three different neck configurations - plumbing, short flair and mid slant. This flexibility makes it easy for golfers to choose a Studio Select putter with the appearance they prefer, the length and weight they need, and a neck configuration that provides the proper amount of toe flow during the stroke. In addition, Studio Select putters can be lie adjusted +/- 2 degrees off of the standard 71 degrees and come with six different grip options, including the standard Red Cameron Cord, Black Studio Design, Red Studio Design, Black Baby T, Red Baby T and Red Winn AVS Midsize.

“Different golfers require putters of different lengths, weights, body and neck configurations,” comments Scotty Cameron, Master Putter Designer. “However, most putter heads are only weighted for 35-inch shafts and therefore, are much too light for shorter lengths, or too heavy for longer lengths. Too often the same heads are placed in shafts of all lengths. The result is the golfer having to hit at the ball instead of being able to stroke the ball, and that creates distance control problems. The Studio Select putter line delivers a wide range of specifications and options, designed to accommodate a wider range of golfer requirements.”
Studio Select putters will be available beginning March 15, 2008, with a suggested retail price of $325. So start saving your pennies.

Canada Doing Well At Women's World Cup of Golf

Even though all the big stars of the LPGA aren't at the World Cup it is nice to see Canada up near the top of the leaderboard after Day 1 at the Women's World Cup of Golf in Sun City, South Africa.
Canada's Lorie Kane and Alena Sharp were three shots behind South Korea after the first round of the Women's World Cup of Golf on Friday.

The South Korean pair of Ji-Yai Shin and Eun-Hee Ji shot an 11-under 61 to take a one-stroke lead on France. Canada was next at 64, a stroke ahead of the U.S., Philippines and Sweden at the two-player team event featuring 20 countries.

Kane, from Charlottetown, and Sharp, from Hamilton, had three birdies on the front nine for a 33. They added five birdies on the back nine for a 31 to move to 8-under-par.

Saturday's format features alternate-shot foursomes.

We Buy Houses.com Can Help Now

I have some friends who have a beautiful home but every few years they sell the house that they've been living in for a while (usually 3-4 years) and they buy some new property and build another house on this new property. They do this because they can make money off the house because the father is a contractor and builds the house himself to the specs he wants. Not a bad business if you can only sell the house. Most of the time they build in rural outside of the city kind of areas so sometimes you don't always find a buyer. That's where We Buy Houses.com comes along they will buy your house whether it's to avoid the high prices of real estate agents, or you need to sell your home fast for cash because like my friends you want to buy some land for another house. We Buy Houses.com are the people who buy your house for cash they can relieve the stress of selling a house and make it a breeze, they'll buy it from you. Then you only have to worry if your next house will be on the first hole or the 18th hole of a beautiful golf course.

2008 PGA Merchandise Show

Everything golf can be found at the 2008 PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando this week. All of the major OEM golf manufacturers are there including Cleveland, Nike, Mizuno, Bridgestone and Callaway just to name a few. Most popular golf sites are there but here are a list of a few with the best pictures and info.

GolfWRX.com -These guys rock they have the most extensive pictures of Cameron putters, Bridgestone irons, the full lineup of Callaway and more.

Golf Is Big Business

According to the 2005 Golf Economy Report that was released at the 2008 PGA Merchandise Show golf is huge business. (A Little late with the report) It goes on to give these numbers:

Golf’s impact on the U.S. economy is valued at US$75.9-billion, the report says, although that takes into account not just spending on golf clubs and public-course rounds but also US$3.5-billion spent on golf-related charitable giving (think charity-golf tournaments) and nearly US$15-billion spent on houses built near golf courses.

Is this stretching the meaning of golf to include real estate, even if it is, these are still big numbers. Here are some stats for other industries as well:

$75.9 Golf
$73.9 Motion pictures and videos
$64.7 Spectator sports
$50.1 Newspapers

And here is the breakdown of items that make up golf’s US$75.9-billion impact.

$28.052 Golf course operation
$18,001 Hospitality and tourism
$14,973 Real estate
$6,151 Golf equipment and supplies
$3,578 Golf course capital investment
$3,501 Charities
$1,682 Endorsements, tournaments and associations

DROdio Real Estate Can Help You Buy Your Dream Home

I had to forward the website of Daniel R. Odio to my mother-in-law because to discuss your real estate buying options with an experienced real estate guy over a little Starbucks latte is very cool, right? My mother-in-law is looking at setting up more permanent residence in the Annapolis area of Virginia and it just so happens DROdio Real Estate looks after this very area. They have had there boat docked in this area before and it's little closer to use and other family. They know nothing of the area and it just so happens Daniel is an expert for this area of Virginia. Choose a city in Virginia and find the listings that might meet your criteria. I just informed her there's got to be some good golf courses in the area.

He's also got some great buyer tutorials on his site and many more real estate videos all listed on YouTube. I love YouTube for marketing your business, it enhances the viewers experience when you can view a helpful video on something you might have a question on. Nice going DROdio Real Estate.

Adam Scott Video w/ New Titlesit AP2 Irons At Abu Dhabi Golf Championship

Think Vacation Rentals For Golf Vacations

Right now in Canada alot of Canadians are thinking of taking a vacation somewhere hot and away from all the snow that winter brings here in Canada. I know right now my father-in-law is playing golf near St. Augustine Florida for 10 days, also a couple of friends from work are going to Mexico and Florida respectively. I'm planning for next year but I'm going to try to save a bit of money and take advantage of some beautiful vacation rentals in the Orlando area. An Orlando Vacation Home can give you the best of both worlds there owner operated therefor you tend to get better rates, your not just a number it's a more personal option than a generic hotel plus with sites like VacationRentals.com you get so many options to choose from if you want to be in a golf community you can, if you want to be near Disney you can. If your like me you can find a vacation rental that's around the best golf courses. A real bonus that's for sure.

Callaway Golf(R) Introduces the Ultimate in Customization With New I-MIX(TM) Technology

CARLSBAD, Calif., Jan 15, 2008 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Callaway Golf (NYSE: ELY) today announced the introduction of I-MIX Technology, a major breakthrough in do-it-yourself club customization. The new technology, which capitalizes on the U.S. Golf Association and Royal & Ancient's rule change on club adjustability, gives golfers the ability to create the perfect driver for their game every time they play.

Callaway Golf's I-MIX Technology, featuring a wide variety of the most sought-after shafts in the market, including shafts from Aldila, Fujikura, and Mitsubishi Rayon, will be available on FT-i(R) and FT-5(R) club heads. More than 1,600 shaft-head combinations will give golfers the flexibility to quickly customize their driver to meet the varying challenges each individual round of golf presents.

"Our new I-MIX Technology gives golfers the same access and ability to experiment and optimize their equipment that tour professionals have," said Jeff Colton, Senior Vice President of Research and Development for Callaway Golf. In addition to the clubhead and shaft options, I-MIX Technology includes Callaway Golf's Opti-Fit(R) Weighting System, which lets golfers choose a Draw or Neutral center of gravity (CG) position to help counteract their most common swing flaws for longer and straighter drives.

Callaway Golf I-Mix Technology will be available at select golf retail outlets nationwide and at shop.callawaygolf.com. The Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Prices for the FT-5 and FT-i clubheads are $435 and $500 respectively, prices for shafts range from $185 to $435.

Fantasy Picks For The Bob Hope Chrysler Classic

This year's Bob Hope Chrysler Classic has a new course in the rotation so no one should really have an advantage on the SilverRock course. Those that can handle long rounds with celebrity amateurs will do well, along with making lots of birdies. The weather looks cool in the mornings and warming up in the afternoons with highs in the 60s not real warm but damn warmer than here in Canada. So when your tee time is might play a little advantage. My picks mainly center around guys who play well here and have won and guys that are doing well this season.

Jesper Parnevik- a not so good 4th round keep him from a good finish at the Sony. He will win this year now that he's completely healthy. Has won here before.
Mike Weir- Weir's swing looks solid, he can make alot of birdies if his putter is on.
Scott Verplank-keeps it in the fairway, if he makes a few putts he'll be looking at a top 10
Chad Campbell- already 2 top 12's he's playing great lately.
Justin Leonard- does well in these formats, good start to the year.
Troy Matteson-no real track record here great finish last week will build on the momentum.
Lucas Glover- first event of the year, should be rested and this guy can make some birdies too.

Pain Relief For An Avid Golfer

How many times after a round of golf or maybe after playing a few rounds in a week do you experience a little stiffness in your neck, back or maybe some tightness in your joints. Do you pop a couple of Advil or maybe just try to ignore things. Some people have had great results with Salonpas products. They deliver relief with menthol, capsaicin and methyl salicylate, an analgesic directly to the area that's experiencing the soreness and stiffness. Salonpas has a variety of products for whatever type of pain and stiffness you might have. There gels and patches are easy to use and have lasting effects for most people. Watch Salonpas Pain Relief Patch video to see what it's all about.

The Bob Hope Chrysler Classic is this week hosted by George Lopez will be played over 4 courses. The Classic Club, PGA West (Palmer Course), La Quinta Country Club, and SilverRock Resort. This is the start of the PGA Tour's West Coast swing.

Surfs Up For Summer Camps

As my children get older I have started to look at longer overnight camp. There are so many out there involving a vast array of sports and academics that sometimes word of mouth is the best selling point. For starters there a great looking summer camp for teens in North Carolina that involves surfing. Surfing in North Carolina you say, check out the great video on there Surf Camp website, it really does look awesome. It's not Hawaii but when your teen is learning to surf you don't want 40 foot waves crashing down on them. They seem to teach the right way to learn just read a few of there testimonials on there site and you'll know why there learning methods work. Tell me your teen wouldn't love this summer camp, they even have overnight summer camps too if your looking for that. They also offer just surfing lessons as well for kids down to adults of all ages so your never to old to try surfing. Maybe try there surf camp if your looking for something new hip and fun.

The Furniture Hunt Continues

I always find it hard to choose new furniture because sometimes it's just hard to image what one piece will look like or not in a certain part of your house. With so many retailers taking to the Internet even furniture retailers are getting on board but some do it better than others. Right now my wife and I are still looking at furnishing my new son's(he's due any day) room so we seen alot of stuff. Great Priced Furniture is a one retailer that seems to try to do things right. I like the way they have the furniture categories laid out especially because it easy to navigate. If your looking for baby furniture you click on the link and brings you to that section where you can choose a subsection to go deeper into what your looking for. They have a 30 day money back guarantee which is important when purchasing furniture as well as a GE financing program if you want to borrow for your furniture investment. I also like the fact you can search by product brand if you know what make you like and want to compare prices this makes it a snap. Defintiely a site worth checking out if your looking for furniture.

K.J.Choi Wins Sony Open In Windy Conditions

Choi survived the crazy Hawaii winds at Waialae and and fought off a streaking Rory Sabbitini to close with a 1-over 71 for a three-shot victory Sunday. It was Choi's fourth straight year with a PGA TOUR victory, joining TW, Phil and VJ with active streaks that long. I knew he would do well this week as I picked him in my Ottawa Golf Fantasy League. He couldn't have 2 bad weeks in a row. Only eight players broke par in the final round, when the average score was 72.2
Choi finished at 14-under 266 and earned $954,000 for his seventh PGA TOUR win. Check out a few putts from KJ from Sunday at the Sony Open.

YawpBox Post Your Videos Today!

Since the new year has started I've tried to put more videos of PGA Tour Events, European Tour events and even some from the Sunshine Tour here on my blog. If you've missed the action then I might have a video of it here on the blog. I find relevant videos add more spice to a blog or a website and there's a hint of interactivity and depending on the video lots of excitement.

One website that's creating alot of this is YawpBox they have user created videos that border on the crazy and definitely creative. The first thing I suggest doing is to sign up for free as a user of the site because you'll want to be able to access the whole site not just a peek.

After that it's time to explore the YawpBox topics section there you might videos of individuals you might just have a connection with or very likely something in common with, that's what YawpBox is all about. Share your life experiences with the world and see who'll have similar ones or maybe even crazier ones update your profile with regular videos and other Yawpers can vote on how cool or not cool your videos are.

To make things even more interactive, YawpBox might actually use your content because come March 2008 YawpBox TV launches it's own television show to the world. See if you'll make the cut I'm thinking how I can get my 15 minutes of fame, I do look like Mark Messier. HOw could I turn this idea into my cool video. I must explore the site more especially the Lex & Terry challenge section of the topic section. This is how I might get on the YawpBox TV show.

Darren Clarke's Final Round Video From Joburg Open In South Africa

Nice to see Darren Clarke playing the golf that earned him a Captain's spot on the Ryder Cup a few years ago. He's always been one of my favorite golfers so it's nice to see his game come around. His fourth place yesterday at the Joburg Open in South Africa, won by Richard Sterne, meant a lot.

"I played well and I feel like the player I was half a dozen years ago, when I was in the world's top 10," said the 39-year-old after a three-under-par 68 in the final round of this European Tour event at Royal Johannesburg and

"I hit the ball well and three birdies in the last five holes suggests I've still got quite a bit of fight in me," said Clarke, whose strong finish here comes after an encouraging tie for third in his last start, in the South African Open before Christmas. "Everything I've been working on seems to be coming together and I really feel like a golfer again."Clarke's game had gone sour following the loss of his wife Heather to cancer in August 2006, but he appears at last to have rediscovered the magic formula. "I've definitely turned a corner," he said. "It's a Ryder Cup year and I've got everything to play for."

Clarke is looking fit and strong and is hitting the ball beautifully. He's 39 the same age as me and he's hitting some long drives which probably had a lot to do with the amount of birdies he got in his four rounds at Joburg. Check out the following video from his final round at Joburg.
