Ian Poulter Has Some Big Kahunas
"The trouble is I just don't rate anyone else. Now, don't get me wrong. I really respect everyone who is a professional golfer, but, the problem is, I know I haven't played to my full potential yet. And, when that happens, it will just be me and Tiger."
Oh Ian what are you thinking not only that but he's naked in the article except for a well placed golf ball. He's playing this week in Dubai against Tiger so I wonder if he even makes the cut. Poulter, definitely a character.

TaylorMade Spider Putter Seen At Buick Invitational
In addition to high-MOI features, such as enormous volume, and a variety of alignment guides, the Spider's primary attribute is the "anti skid groove system insert." Made of a lightweight but durable seven-metal alloy, the insert is designed to reduce skid and impart forward roll on the ball as early as possible. This is achieved in part by 14 tiny polymer-filled face grooves.
There's some great pictures of it at GolfWrx.com and check out the picture of Dustin's below and video.

Charles Howell III- I'm not a big fan of CH III but his record here is great plus he's playing pretty good lately.

Cambo Hasn't Done Alot Since US Open Win
"I've had a good break and now having wiped the 2007 slate clean, I'm anxious to get back into competition and get my 2008 campaign off to a positive start," he said.
"I decided to work pretty hard on my fitness during the Christmas and New Year break so as to better prepare myself for this year."
Campbell had been working with a new personal trainer for the past two months.
"I do feel a lot leaner and fitter, and I've also lost a bit of weight so that's why I'm excited about these two weeks."
"It's been very simple and nothing too technical. I remember adopting a similar sort of approach to my golf four years ago and it was that sort of attitude that helped me win the European Open.""I'm not worried about my ranking because I know that will improve with a few results," he said.
"All I am focusing on is just playing golf and the basic things in life and hopefully everything else will fall into place."
I will be interesting to see how he comes out of the gate this week as he'll be teeing it up with Martin Kaymer the winner last week and England's Lee Westwood for the opening two rounds.

Defending Champion Goosen Out Of Qatar Masters
Goosen said: "I am obviously very sad that I am unable to defend my title. I came all this way to play but unfortunately the eye is causing a problem.
"I thought it would come good but it hasn't. I went to Dubai yesterday and the advice was to go back to London for treatment.
"It is a shame as I love this event, love this course and I can't remember the last time I pulled out of a tournament."
The absence of Goosen, twice a winner of the US Open, is a body blow for a tournament that has grown in stature over the last few years and taken its central role in what has become known as the "Desert Swing" which includes the Abu Dhabi Golf Championship and the Dubai Desert Classic.

Qatar Masters This Weeks - Definitely Some Big Names
Retief Goosen overtook Nick O'Hern with a birdie-eagle finish last year to claim his only win of the season. He finished atop a talented leaderboard that saw 2005 champion Ernie Els, Stuart Appleby, 2006 winner Henrik Stenson, Chris DiMarco, Paul McGinley, Nick Dougherty, Sergio Garcia, Miguel Angel Jimenez and Robert Karlsson all finish in the top 25.
World No. 8 Adam Scott, the 2002 champion, is the highest-ranked player in a field that includes 10 of the top 30 players in the world.

AEDs Can Save Lives On The Golf Course
Most of us know of someone who has died of a heart attack. Alot of people myself included have taken many first aid courses and even defibrillator courses as well, these are the ways we can help those who experience Cardiac Arrhythmia.
Another way is to become and remain educated on those things that can effect sudden cardiac arrest. That is one objective that InsideCardiacArrest.com tries to provide everyone. Being aware of Sudden Cardiac Arrest and the causes can help us save lives.
Look at golf courses for instance, it's a place for death by heart failure. Sudden cardiac arrest is the #1 cause of death on the golf course. Because of its size, often remote location and poor accessibility, a golf course can be one of the worst places to be when your heart stops.
That's where automated external defibrillator, or AED come into play. More and more golf courses are using them including The Glen Abby Golf Club in Oakville a course that is used for the Canadian Open.
AEDs are a godsend, not only to golfers, but to everyone. AEDs are now being used by trained people from all walks of life. I know I've taken a course on how to use one because we have one at work. Education you say, I say being smart.
Daly Withdraws From Bob Hope Classic
"It has been an ongoing thing ever since it happened," Daly, 41, told reporters after posting a four-under total of 212.
"It killed me today. I had a guy here with me and he popped it back in five times."
Daly's rib injury dates back to the Honda Classic last March when he was disturbed on his back swing by a spectator trying to take a photograph.
"A woman took a picture and I came down and separated my shoulder and fractured my rib," the 1995 British Open champion said. "I tried to play through it all last year and had to withdraw from tournaments because it kept popping out.

New Studio Select Putters On Titleist's Site
The new Studio Select putters are precision milled with circular weights in the heel and toe that allow each model to be offered at 33”, 34” and 35” lengths. With four Newport based models the new line features two different body styles - the Newport and Newport 2 - and three different neck configurations - plumbing, short flair and mid slant. This flexibility makes it easy for golfers to choose a Studio Select putter with the appearance they prefer, the length and weight they need, and a neck configuration that provides the proper amount of toe flow during the stroke. In addition, Studio Select putters can be lie adjusted +/- 2 degrees off of the standard 71 degrees and come with six different grip options, including the standard Red Cameron Cord, Black Studio Design, Red Studio Design, Black Baby T, Red Baby T and Red Winn AVS Midsize.Studio Select putters will be available beginning March 15, 2008, with a suggested retail price of $325. So start saving your pennies.
“Different golfers require putters of different lengths, weights, body and neck configurations,” comments Scotty Cameron, Master Putter Designer. “However, most putter heads are only weighted for 35-inch shafts and therefore, are much too light for shorter lengths, or too heavy for longer lengths. Too often the same heads are placed in shafts of all lengths. The result is the golfer having to hit at the ball instead of being able to stroke the ball, and that creates distance control problems. The Studio Select putter line delivers a wide range of specifications and options, designed to accommodate a wider range of golfer requirements.”

Callaway Golf Introduces I-Mix Technology - The I-Mix FT-5 and FT-i Driver
The full press release:
Callaway Golf(R) Introduces the Ultimate in Customization With New I-MIX(TM) TechnologyCARLSBAD, Calif., Jan 15, 2008 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Callaway Golf (NYSE: ELY) today announced the introduction of I-MIX Technology, a major breakthrough in do-it-yourself club customization. The new technology, which capitalizes on the U.S. Golf Association and Royal & Ancient's rule change on club adjustability, gives golfers the ability to create the perfect driver for their game every time they play.
Callaway Golf's I-MIX Technology, featuring a wide variety of the most sought-after shafts in the market, including shafts from Aldila, Fujikura, and Mitsubishi Rayon, will be available on FT-i(R) and FT-5(R) club heads. More than 1,600 shaft-head combinations will give golfers the flexibility to quickly customize their driver to meet the varying challenges each individual round of golf presents.
"Our new I-MIX Technology gives golfers the same access and ability to experiment and optimize their equipment that tour professionals have," said Jeff Colton, Senior Vice President of Research and Development for Callaway Golf. "No one's swing is the same from day-to-day - neither are the weather or course conditions. Our I-MIX Technology gives everyone the ability to quickly and easily customize their equipment, every time they play."
In addition to the clubhead and shaft options, I-MIX Technology includes Callaway Golf's Opti-Fit(R) Weighting System, which lets golfers choose a Draw or Neutral center of gravity (CG) position to help counteract their most common swing flaws for longer and straighter drives.
Callaway Golf I-Mix Technology will be available at select golf retail outlets nationwide and at shop.callawaygolf.com. The Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Prices for the FT-5 and FT-i clubheads are $435 and $500 respectively, prices for shafts range from $185 to $435.

- You're fewer than four paces off the green.
Bob Hope Chrysler Classic This Week
The tournament is spread out over four courses for the first four rounds, while The Classic Club will host the final round. This is the first year for the SilverRock Golf Course being in the rotation and it will be in interesting to see how the pros do at this Arnold Palmer-designed course.
This is the only five-round event on the PGA Tour schedule and if that isn't enough, it has a penchant for playoffs as well. There have been 12 playoffs since 1982.
Fred Couples and David Duval, both with strong histories at this event, are teeing it up for the first time this year this week. Couples has made the cut in 21 of his 22 appearances. The only time he missed the cut was 1999 when he was defending his title.

YawpBox Post Your Videos Today!
One website that's creating alot of this is YawpBox they have user created videos that border on the crazy and definitely creative. The first thing I suggest doing is to sign up for free as a user of the site because you'll want to be able to access the whole site not just a peek.
After that it's time to explore the YawpBox topics section there you might videos of individuals you might just have a connection with or very likely something in common with, that's what YawpBox is all about. Share your life experiences with the world and see who'll have similar ones or maybe even crazier ones update your profile with regular videos and other Yawpers can vote on how cool or not cool your videos are.
To make things even more interactive, YawpBox might actually use your content because come March 2008 YawpBox TV launches it's own television show to the world. See if you'll make the cut I'm thinking how I can get my 15 minutes of fame, I do look like Mark Messier. HOw could I turn this idea into my cool video. I must explore the site more especially the Lex & Terry challenge section of the topic section. This is how I might get on the YawpBox TV show.
Darren Clarke's Final Round Video From Joburg Open In South Africa
"I played well and I feel like the player I was half a dozen years ago, when I was in the world's top 10," said the 39-year-old after a three-under-par 68 in the final round of this European Tour event at Royal Johannesburg and
"I hit the ball well and three birdies in the last five holes suggests I've still got quite a bit of fight in me," said Clarke, whose strong finish here comes after an encouraging tie for third in his last start, in the South African Open before Christmas. "Everything I've been working on seems to be coming together and I really feel like a golfer again."Clarke's game had gone sour following the loss of his wife Heather to cancer in August 2006, but he appears at last to have rediscovered the magic formula. "I've definitely turned a corner," he said. "It's a Ryder Cup year and I've got everything to play for."
Clarke is looking fit and strong and is hitting the ball beautifully. He's 39 the same age as me and he's hitting some long drives which probably had a lot to do with the amount of birdies he got in his four rounds at Joburg. Check out the following video from his final round at Joburg.
